Dana Johnson is the author of Break Any Woman Down (2003), for which she received the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction. Her fiction has been published in numerous journals and anthologies, including Callaloo, Missouri Review, Iowa Review, Slake, and California Uncovered: Stories for the 21st Century (2004). Her novel, Elsewhere, California, will be published by Counterpoint Press in 2012. She teaches creative writing and literature at the University of Southern California.
